  • FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS

  • Followups are important and in fact legally imperative in order for me to continue to write prescriptions for your child.

  •

  • In the very beginning stages of treatment, appointments every 4-6 weeks, or whatever we decided at the end of the last appointment, are important to keep your child safe and stable and the treatment moving forward with a guided hand.  On a strictly legal level, we cannot write prescriptions without reasonable follow up. Please understand if my office says they cannot refill your prescription if I haven't spoken to you in more than 2 months and wants to schedule an appointment with you.  This may not be the case if your child is stable and we are on a 3 or 6 month check-in basis.

  • CANCELLATION POLICY

  • It is IMPERATIVE and courteous to provide a minimum of 24 hours notice for any cancellation.  If the appointment occurs on a Monday, please let us know by the THURSDAY before if you are cancelling.   The reason is that somebody else truly wants and needs your appointment. Please give them the chance of getting it by cancelling ahead of time.  If you miss your appointment at the last minute, the office manager may insist on charging you for half the appointment as is the office policy.  I hate that :(

  • CANCELLATION POLICY - NEW PATIENTS

  • PLEASE get the paperwork in ahead of time. I need all the information in those documents, including the written consent, to discuss and evaluate your child.  Legally, I cannot proceed without it.  If you are scheduling a new patient appointment, and don't send the New Patient paperwork in before your appointment, we won't be able to have your appointment and it will count as a missed appointment and we'll all be sad. Thank you very much for your understanding.
